In our rooms in Amorgos, our first priority is your pleasant accommodation and good quality service.
The reception is open from 8.00 am to 11.00 pm and if your arrival is in late night hours, there is always someone to serve you.
We can arrange your transportation.
Our private mini bus and our driver is always available for your transfert from and to the port.
Furthermore, we provide the possibility of car rental (Evdokia's rent a car, family business), scuba diving – Amorgos diving center (family business located in our place).
Finally, all the hours you can enjoy the view of the entire Aegiali bay from the specially shaped top floor terrace (roof garden) where there is a buffet for breakfast during the high season.
Mrs Evdokia and the friendly staff welcome you in the Askas tavern that is part of the family business Askas Pension and Aegiali Camping. Our tavern is located in an environment surrounded by lush green trees and vines. There you can find tradition and good food.
In our familial restaurant you will discover tasteful amorgian dishes prepared with local products: oil, wine, psimeni raki (amorgian drink – raki boiled with honey, cinnamon and spices), xinomyzithra (amorgian soft cheese), vegetables but also meat. You won’t forget the Amorgian specialties such as "Fava" (local yellow peas crushed in puree with fresh lemon juice and onions) or "Patatato" (local goat meat and potatoes cooked in tomato sauce with red wine and cinnamon). While we are preparing classical Aegean dishes or pasta or other kinds of sweets like "xerotigana" and "pasteli" (amorgian traditional sweets), our main priority is the quality of materials and better service.
Our tavern is open from early in the morning so you can enjoy a delicious breakfast: omelette made by Mrs. Evdokia, amorgian homemade jams and pies (cheese pie, onion pie, etc). Here you will definitely enjoy what we call hospitality but also entertainment by discovering the typical greek nights atmosphere with "rembetiko" and amorgian live music and dances.

An island with intense Cycladic character, Amorgos is located on the southern side of Cyclades. Surrounded by the blue sea of the Aegean, Amorgos amazes visitors with the serene atmosphere, the picturesque villages, the crystal beaches and the pure nature. In fact, Amorgos is a great island for trekking, as trails pass by ancient sites, secluded beaches, tiny chapels and give gorgeous view to the sea.
Chora, with the whitewashed houses and the paved streets, is the capital of Amorgos. Aegiali and Katapola are the two main ports of the island and also the most tourist places. Enjoy a delicious dish by the sea, climb the stairs up to the Monastery of Hozoviotissa, taste the traditional rakomelo (raki with honey), walk the paths of the small villages, swim in gorgeous beaches and let the vibes of Amorgos give you the relaxation you need in holidays!

Aegiali is located on the northern side of Amorgos. It is one of the two ports that connect Amorgos to the port of Piraeus (Athens) and other Cyclades islands. Although Aegiali is the most popular tourist place of the island, it keeps authentic its traditional character. The calm vibes and the natural beauty of Aegiali amaze visitors at first sight. The large bay gives a long crystal beach to swim. This beach is lined by delicious fish taverns, beach bars and seaside cafeterias with great view to the Aegean. The inner road of Aegiali has tourist shops, mini markets and other facilities to cover all needs of visitors.

The room was spacious (we even had an extra bed), clean, and comfortable with a cute little terrace. There was a mini fridge and air conditioner in the room and the bathroom was recently remodeled. Additionally, the pension has a lovely third-floor terrace which is open to guests and an onsite restaurant where we had dinner one night and ate breakfast every morning. For 7 euros, you can have their breakfast which includes coffee with cream, bread, jam, honey, an egg (fried or boiled), and a bowl of greek yogurt. You can also order breakfast a la carte if you don't have a big appetite. Another plus - the pension is well located. It is a 5-minute walk to the beach and a 10-minute walk to the town of Aegiali. What really makes this pension stand out is Mario and his wonderful family. They were very accommodating and kind to us. They gave us great advice on places to visit, and even helped us arrange the car rental and transportation to the ferry. | 5 |
